KARACHI: Fans paid tribute to the renowned actor Syed Kamal Shah on the occasion of his 14th death anniversary.
Kamal Shah was a versatile actor who effortlessly portrayed both serious and comedic roles throughout his career. He was born on April 27, 1937, in India and later migrated to Pakistan.
His debut film, "Thandi Sarak," was released in 1957, and Kamal Shah is credited as Pakistan's first comedy hero, bringing smiles to the faces of countless viewers through his performances.
Over the course of his career, he appeared in more than 84 films and produced 10 movies. Following a successful stint in the film industry, he transitioned to television dramas.
In recognition of his contributions, Kamal Shah was honored with a lifetime achievement award.
Sadly, Kamal Shah passed away in Karachi on October 1, 2009, at the age of 72.
