Top military officials, during the 261st Corps Commanders’ Conference, assured the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) of providing necessary support for the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8 next year.
Presided over by Chief of Army Staff Gen Asim Munir, the conference paid tribute to martyrs and expressed commitment to defend the country's sovereignty. It condemned human rights violations in Indian-Administered Jammu and Kashmir and reiterated support for the Kashmiri people's self-determination.
The conference addressed national security challenges, emphasizing concerns regarding terrorists' safe havens across the border and their impact on Pakistan's security. It pledged to combat terrorists and their supporters, highlighting solidarity with Palestine and efforts for socioeconomic growth. The military reaffirmed its commitment to curbing illegal economic activities and ensuring operational readiness, emphasizing the importance of ongoing training and high standards of preparedness.
