Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan cricket team, arrived in Lahore from Dubai in the early morning hours of Monday after a disappointing performance at the 2023 ICC World Cup.
Babar Azam and other members of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), including the team manager, flew back to Lahore from Dubai on a private plane.
The captain of the national team was escorted to his car under tight security. Fans who had gathered at the airport chanted slogans in support of the Pakistan team.
The crowd at the airport raised slogans of "Pakistan Zindabad" (Long live Pakistan) when they saw the captain. They also took selfies with him.
