In Islamabad, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) 100-index remained bearish on Wednesday, marking a loss of 250.73 points, a negative shift of 0.39 percent, concluding at 63,919.85 points versus the previous day's closure at 64,170.58 points.
Trading activity observed 636,168,115 shares traded at a value of Rs.17.980 billion, contrasting with 448,990,545 shares valued at Rs.12.281 billion from the preceding session. A total of 361 companies participated in the market: 155 gained, 183 experienced losses, and 23 remained unchanged.
The top three companies by trading volume were K-Electric with 151,248,373 shares at Rs.5.72 per share, followed by Hascol Petrol with 67,980,000 shares at Rs.8.53 per share, and WorldCall Telecom with 42,068,813 shares at Rs.1.43 per share.
Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited saw the most significant surge, increasing by Rs.79.00 per share, concluding at Rs.1,141.00. In the next position, Pak Suzuki Motor Company rose by Rs.58.32 per share, reaching Rs.835.88.
On the downside, Rafhan Maize Products Company experienced the most substantial decline, dropping by Rs.448.00 per share to close at Rs.9,550.00, followed by Hoechst Pakistan Limited, declining by Rs.40.80 per share, concluding at Rs.1,300.00.
