Pakistan People's Party Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, extended his congratulations to the nation following the announcement of the election date by the Election Commission of Pakistan. During a media interaction, he stated that it's the People's Party's turn to win the upcoming polls.

He also expressed his view that the Election Commission should have announced the date without court interference.

Regarding potential alliances with PTI and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Bilawal clarified that no decisions had been made in this regard. He reiterated the party's commitment to human rights and its stance against supporting any illegal activities.

Bilawal Bhutto emphasized the importance of fair elections and advocated for the scheduled election date of February 8. He acknowledged the historical challenges the People's Party faced in achieving a level playing field in past elections but expressed optimism for a fair contest this time.

He also raised concerns about international silence concerning Israeli actions against Palestinians, stressing the need for a collective effort by all political parties to uphold democratic values. Bilawal criticized PTI's political approach, highlighting the lack of a level playing field in the 2018 elections, and expressed his worries about global issues, including the situation in Ukraine and the Palestinian conflict.
