KHUZDAR: In a tragic incident in Balochistan, one person was killed and seven others seriously wounded when a bomb exploded near a passenger bus traveling from Khuzdar to Rawalpindi. The blast occurred near Khori, approximately 25 kilometers from Khuzdar city. Among the injured was the bus conductor, who remains in critical condition. The injured passengers were quickly transported to the Khuzdar Trauma Centre for treatment.
Initial investigations revealed that the explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED), which had been planted in a vehicle parked near the roadside. Following the attack, a large contingent of police, along with Frontier Corps and Levies forces, arrived at the scene and secured the area. Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to uncover more about the perpetrators and the motive behind the blast.
This attack is part of a worrying rise in terror activities in Balochistan, which has seen an increase in violence in recent months. Earlier this month, a similar blast in Turbat killed four people and injured 32. The ongoing security challenges in the province highlight the urgent need for enhanced security measures.
