Army Chief General Asim Munir conveyed that Pakistan avoids aligning with specific blocs and aims to maintain balanced relationships with all friendly nations, as per reports from a private news channel quoting Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

During discussions with US think tanks and media in Washington, General Asim Munir shared Pakistan's stance on regional security, countering transnational terrorism, and the significance of preserving strategic stability in South Asia.

Highlighting Pakistan's intent for an extensive, long-term partnership with the US across various domains, he underlined the country's unparalleled contributions and sacrifices in the enduring battle against terrorism. General Munir affirmed Pakistan's commitment to persist in this fight in alignment with the aspirations of its people.

Regarding the Kashmir issue, he stressed the necessity of resolving it in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. He emphasized that Kashmir remains an internationally recognized dispute, and no unilateral actions should alter its nature against the desires of the millions living in the region.

Furthermore, General Munir strongly advocated for ending the suffering in Gaza, providing humanitarian aid, and implementing a two-state solution to ensure lasting peace in the region.
