Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Asim Munir, reiterated that law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and various government departments will maintain their robust efforts against illegal activities.
This commitment was made during his attendance at the provincial apex committee meeting, alongside Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister, Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar, as reported by ARY News.
During the meeting, COAS Asim Munir received briefings on several important matters, including the revised National Action Plan (NAP), the ongoing operation in the kacha area of Sindh, and the security measures concerning foreign nationals employed in various projects, both related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other private initiatives.
Additional topics covered included the repatriation of illegal foreigners, measures to regularize foreign currency, progress on the Karachi Transformation Plan, advancements in SIFC initiatives in Sindh, and initiatives for a greener Sindh.
COAS Munir emphasized that LEAs and government departments will persist in their efforts to combat illegal activities vigorously. The goal is to prevent resource pilferage and economic losses that the country incurs due to such activities.
He also stressed the importance of coordination and synergy among all relevant departments to ensure the success of these significant initiatives.
Participants in the meeting reaffirmed their commitment to the progress and prosperity of the province, emphasizing unity among state institutions, government departments, and the public in this regard.
Upon his arrival, COAS General Asim Munir was greeted by Commander Karachi Corps.
