Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir pledged the Pakistan Army's unwavering commitment to defending every part of the nation during a visit to Peshawar.

He received a comprehensive briefing on the overall security status, ongoing counter-terrorism efforts, repatriation of illegal foreigners, and socio-economic advancements in the Newly Merged Districts, as per an ISPR handout.

Commending the bravery of officers and soldiers involved in counter-terrorism operations, COAS Munir highlighted the nation's pride in their achievements. He reiterated the Army's dedicated duty to protect the homeland at all costs.

Interacting with participants of the First National Workshop Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (NWKP-1), General Asim Munir emphasized the province's stability, attributing it to the steadfast support of the people. He stressed that Pakistan's progress is intertwined with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's prosperity, underscoring the thwarting of disruptive elements by a cohesive strategy.

Moreover, COAS underscored the significance of economic growth in the Newly Merged Districts and voiced concerns about illegal foreigners adversely impacting Pakistan's security and economy. He mentioned the government's decision to repatriate them in accordance with established norms, ensuring a humane process.

Upon arrival, General Munir was welcomed by the Commander Peshawar Corps.
