RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir visited Warminster and Larkhill Garrisons in the United Kingdom at the invitation of Chief of the General Staff of the British Army, Gen Roland Walker.
During the visit, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that COAS Munir was briefed on the British Army’s modernization plan and the capabilities of the Deep Recce Strike Brigade. The British Army also showcased advanced niche technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and uncrewed systems, highlighting their integration into modern military strategies.
Earlier this week, Gen Asim Munir received a warm and dignified welcome on the inaugural day of his official visit to the UK. A ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented at the historic Royal Horse Guards Parade Ground by a well-turned-out contingent, underscoring the significance of his visit.
As part of his engagements, COAS Munir will participate in the 7th Regional Stabilization Conference at the Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst. He is scheduled to deliver a keynote address on “The Emerging World Order and Pakistan’s Future Outlook”, focusing on global power shifts and Pakistan’s strategic positioning.
The Regional Stabilization Conference serves as a vital platform for Army-to-Army dialogue between Pakistan and the UK. Held annually, it fosters military and strategic cooperation, bringing together policymakers, military officials, and leading think tanks from both nations. This year’s conference holds particular significance in light of the evolving geopolitical landscape, providing a crucial opportunity for exchanging perspectives and strengthening bilateral ties.
