On Tuesday, Asad Abbas, a Pakistani singer who had been grappling with a serious kidney ailment and had been appealing for financial support for his treatment, passed away following an extended struggle with his illness.
Enduring dialysis for four days a week, Abbas had reached out to individuals across the media industry and political circles, as well as the general public, seeking assistance to cover his medical expenses. He had articulated his need for Rs50 million to facilitate a kidney transplant.
