Court extends physical remand of Nadia Hussain’s husband

A Karachi court has extended the physical remand of Atif Khan, husband of model and actress Nadia Hussain, for five more days in a multi-million fraud case.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) presented Khan before the Judicial Magistrate South and requested an 11-day remand, stating that further investigation and arrests were necessary. The court granted a five-day extension and directed the FIA to submit a progress report at the next hearing.

Atif Khan was arrested by the FIA from Karachi’s DHA Phase VI over allegations of Rs54 crore fraud. The action was taken following a complaint by the group head of a private bank securities. According to the FIA, Khan misused company funds for personal purposes while serving as the firm’s CEO.

Officials stated that he fabricated financial statements and other documents to illegally withdraw money. After his arrest, the FIA initially obtained a two-day remand for interrogation.

Nadia Hussain has not made any public statements regarding her husband's arrest. The couple married in 2003 and has four children: Shadal, Shanza, Sasha, and Sherdad. Apart from her modeling career, Nadia Hussain launched her own business, "Nadia Hussain Salon and Clinic," in 2023.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities continue to probe the financial mismanagement allegations.
