Karachi: An accountability court in Karachi has postponed the hearing of the NAB reference involving former Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh until November 14, following a Supreme Court ruling against amendments to the NAB law.

Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, former FBR Chairman Abdullah Yousuf, and other individuals stand accused of alleged abuse of power in the development of a software app, resulting in an $11.125 million loss to the national treasury.

The NAB Regional Board in Karachi had proposed filing a reference against Hafeez Sheikh and other defendants for misusing their authority during his tenure as finance minister in the PPP government, causing a loss of $11.125 million to the government's coffers.
