Dr. Kapotaqkhy Chanchala, Miss Earth Pakistan 2023, has assumed the prestigious title representing Pakistan in the global stage of the Miss Earth pageant, which currently holds the third-largest position among pageants worldwide and aspires to become the largest. This ambition stems from its significant number of contestants, its environmental cause, and its consistent impact.

Preliminary competitions for the Miss Earth 2023 pageant are underway, showcasing representatives from various countries. Hailing from Karachi, Pakistan, Dr. Kapotaqkhy Chanchala holds the honor of being the 12th Miss Earth Pakistan, continuing the nation's involvement in the environmental pageant since its inception in 2005 through the Miss Pakistan World pageant.

Unlike other international pageants, Miss Earth requires extensive knowledge about the contestant's home country. Participants are tasked with creating seven two-minute videos covering diverse aspects of Pakistan, including Eco Tourism Places, Environmental Initiatives, Culture, Landmarks, Advocacy for Environmental Issues, and an Introduction video. The seventh video focuses on a chosen tree symbolizing the delegate's perception of its significance for Pakistan. After two months of study, Dr. Kapotaqkhy chose the Neem Tree for its medicinal properties, representing Pakistan's environmental concerns.

The Preliminaries, which began on October 24, 2023, will continue until the end of November 2023. The main pageant is set to commence on November 28, culminating in the finale on December 23, 2023. Dr. Kapotaqkhy's environmental advocacy centers around increasing tree plantation in Pakistan.

Reflecting on the rigorous process of Miss Earth, Dr. Kapotaqkhy Chanchala, Miss Earth Pakistan 2023, expressed, "I am delighted that Miss Earth strongly advocates for environmental issues. Representing Pakistan, I find myself capable of addressing the crucial problems our nation faces through environmental advocacy. I've dedicated three months to study and prepare these videos, and the experience has been enlightening. Being part of Miss Earth instills a sense of purpose for a meaningful cause."

Sonia Ahmed, President of Miss Pakistan, highlighted, "Pakistan's journey in the pageant industry began in 2002 through the Miss Pakistan World event. Our consistent participation in Miss Earth since 2005, with Dr. Kapotaqkhy as the 12th representative, underscores the significance of this pageant, aligning with the pivotal environmental issues of our time."
