KARACHI: An international flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Karachi's Jinnah International Airport on Monday due to a passenger's deteriorating health during the flight.
According to reports, the flight was en route from Muscat to Islamabad when a passenger's health took a critical turn following a heart attack. The flight's pilot requested permission from the Air Traffic Control (ATC) for an emergency landing at Karachi airport.
Upon receiving clearance, the flight promptly conducted an emergency landing at Karachi airport. However, during the medical assessment conducted by the onboard medical team, it was discovered that the passenger had unfortunately passed away, according to sources.
In a similar incident on April 3, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight bound for Toronto, departing from Karachi, had to make an emergency landing at Norway's Oslo International Airport due to the deteriorating health condition of a passenger. After the necessary medical assistance was provided, the flight later continued its journey to Toronto once the ill passenger was attended to.
