ISLAMABAD: Interim Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar is accelerating consultations for the composition of the caretaker cabinet, according to reports from ARY News on Tuesday.
Insiders familiar with the situation have disclosed that potential caretaker ministers currently under consideration include former foreign secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani, ex-civil servant Shoaib Suddle, former senator Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti, and former information minister Muhammad Ali Durrani.
It appears that Jalil Abbas Jilani, initially considered a strong contender for the prime ministerial role, is now being contemplated for the position of interim Foreign Minister.
Previously, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar assumed his responsibilities after being sworn in on August 14.
Shortly after taking office, the interim premier initiated comprehensive briefings from all ministries on significant matters.
