Today marks the 73rd birth anniversary of the exceptionally talented and versatile Pakistani actor, Moin Akhtar.

Born in Karachi on December 24, 1950, Moin soared to fame through Pakistan Television. Renowned for his prowess in both serious and comedic roles, he left an enduring impact across various mediums, including television, cinema, and theater.

A multifaceted artist, Moin showcased his expertise as a stage performer, comedian, impersonator, host, writer, singer, director, and producer. His illustrious career, spanning over 45 years, commenced at Radio Pakistan in 1966 before transitioning to the small screen. His iconic portrayal of the cunning character Rozi elevated him to an iconic status.

Moin's legacy extends to his collaboration with fellow comedian Umer Sharif in stage plays like "Bakra Qiston Pe" and "Budha Ghar Pe Hai." Additionally, his talk shows "Yes Sir No Sir" and "Moin Akhter Show" set new benchmarks in the industry. Notably, his participation in the show "Loose Talk" featured him assuming diverse characters across more than 400 episodes alongside Anwar Maqsood.

Acknowledged for his contributions, Moin received prestigious accolades, including the Pride of Performance in 1996, the Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 2011, and the Best Actor Award at the PTV Awards in 2000.

His passing on April 22, 2011, marked the conclusion of an illustrious career that left an indelible mark on Pakistan's entertainment landscape.
