In Karachi, a man was killed and six others were injured on Tuesday following a cylinder explosion within the jurisdiction of the Mithdar police station.
A powerful blast occurred at a shop located in the generator market near the Karachi Chamber of Commerce, causing damage to the building and nearby vehicles, and sending shockwaves throughout the area.
The explosion ignited a fire in the shop, scattering items onto the road. Prompt response from local residents, the Edhi ambulance service, and volunteers enabled immediate relief efforts. The injured were swiftly transported to hospitals for medical treatment.
SSP City Arif Aziz confirmed that the police are conducting investigations into the incident. Additionally, the bomb disposal squad (BDS) has been called in to ascertain the blast's nature.
