A distressing event unfolded at Karachi's Port Qasim as a factory succumbed to a severe boiler explosion, triggering a fire within its premises. The blast trapped workers inside, prompting immediate rescue efforts.

Responding to the crisis, the Port Qasim Fire Department dispatched four fire tenders to combat the flames while rescue teams worked to evacuate two injured workers.

Earlier on the same day, another fire erupted in the early hours at a multi-story towel factory in Karachi's Korangi Industrial Area. Initial reports from rescue officials indicated the involvement of six fire brigade vehicles in containing the blaze. The fire reportedly originated from the explosion of a PMT transformer, typically mounted on poles for electricity distribution.

Meanwhile, the rescue team remained on-site, striving to contain the fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties as only a watchman was present at the factory when the fire erupted. The watchman promptly alerted authorities about the incident.
