First hajj flight from Pakistan to depart on April 29

ISLAMABAD: The long-awaited Hajj operation has officially begun, with all preparations completed for the transport of Pakistani pilgrims to the Holy Land. The first Hajj flight will depart from Pakistan on April 29, marking the beginning of a 33-day operation to ferry 89,000 pilgrims to Madinah and Makkah under the government’s Hajj scheme.

A total of 342 flights will be operated, with the first flight departing from Islamabad at 4:45 AM. PIA flight PK 713 will carry 393 pilgrims, marking the beginning of a busy departure phase. The operation is set to run through May 31, with pilgrims first being flown to Madinah in the initial 15 days of the operation.

Other flights scheduled for April 29 include departures from Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, and Multan. From Lahore, AirSial flight PF 7700 will depart at 8:30 AM with 150 pilgrims onboard, while PIA flight PK 747 will depart at 10:15 PM carrying 329 pilgrims. In Quetta, PIA flight PK 7201 will depart at 9:30 AM, and in Multan, PIA flight PK 715 will depart at 8:15 PM, both with 393 pilgrims.

Additionally, Serene Air flight ER 1611 will depart from Karachi at 9:30 PM, carrying 285 pilgrims. These flights are part of a coordinated effort with PIA, Serene Air, AirBlue, AirSial, and a Saudi airline to facilitate the transport of Pakistani pilgrims.

The last Hajj flight from Pakistan is scheduled to depart on May 31. With over a month of flights, the Hajj operation will ensure that pilgrims from across Pakistan can complete their religious journey smoothly and efficiently.
