In an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in the general Mashkai area of Balochistan’s Awaran district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported the elimination of five terrorists on Sunday.

The military's media wing stated that security forces initiated the operation on the nights of December 30 and 31 upon receiving intelligence about terrorist presence.

Following an intense exchange of fire between the security forces and the terrorists during the operation, five terrorists were neutralized, and their hideout was dismantled. A significant amount of arms, ammunition, and explosives were seized, while further efforts are underway to clear the area of any remaining threats.

The ISPR affirmed the unwavering commitment of Pakistan's security forces to safeguard Balochistan's peace, stability, and progress, pledging to counter any attempts to disrupt these elements.

Additionally, a separate operation conducted a day earlier in the Mir Ali area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan District resulted in the neutralization of five terrorists, including Commander Rahzeb alias Khoray, as per the ISPR. These terrorists were noted to have been actively engaged in various terrorist activities against security forces, including extortion and the targeted killing of civilians.
