Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, during a meeting with Palestine's envoy Ahmed Jawad at GHQ in Rawalpindi, reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering support for the Palestinian people's quest for a just and lasting resolution to the ongoing issue and the cessation of the illegal occupation of their territories.
COAS General Asim Munir expressed his condolences for the loss of innocent lives and strongly condemned Israeli attacks on civilians, schools, relief workers, and hospitals. He labeled the forceful evacuation of Gaza's population as a serious crime. Additionally, he reiterated Pakistan's continued support for the pre-1967 position of the Palestinian State.
The conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with at least 4,651 Palestinians killed and over 14,000 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza following a Hamas attack inside Israel. On the Israeli side, more than 1,400 people have been killed. Israel recently intensified its airstrikes on Gaza after warning of a potential ground invasion.
