KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a decline on Tuesday, following a similar trend in the international market. The price of gold per tola fell by Rs800, settling at Rs317,800.
In addition, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs686, reaching Rs272,462, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). This drop comes after gold prices had risen by Rs600 per tola on Monday, bringing the price to Rs318,600.
International gold prices also witnessed a decrease on Tuesday, with the rate falling to $3,021 per ounce, a drop of $6 during the day. The premium on gold was reported at $20.
Despite the drop in gold prices, the price of silver remained stable, with silver being sold at Rs3,475 per tola in the local market.
The fluctuation in gold prices is attributed to global market trends, which have a direct impact on the local pricing in Pakistan. Gold remains a key investment for many in the country, and price changes continue to attract significant attention from investors and consumers alike.
