KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a decline on Saturday, following the dip in international market rates. The price of gold per tola dropped by Rs500, reaching Rs300,000 in the local market.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold fell by Rs438, settling at Rs257,201, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). The decrease in gold prices on Saturday follows a significant drop on Friday, when the price per tola fell by Rs2,500.

International gold rates also saw a reduction on Saturday. As per APGJSA, the global gold price was reported at $2,857 per ounce, with a premium of $20, reflecting a $6 decrease from the previous day.

In addition to gold, silver prices also saw a decrease, with the price per tola dropping by Rs10 to Rs3,240.

The fluctuation in gold and silver prices is closely tied to global market trends, which continue to affect the local bullion market. These recent price reductions come as a result of changing international gold rates, further influencing the purchasing behavior of investors and consumers in Pakistan.
