KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant increase on Monday, mirroring the rise in international rates. The price of gold per tola rose by Rs1,700, reaching Rs303,200, while 10-gram gold was sold for Rs259,945, marking an increase of Rs1,458.
This follows a drop of Rs4,700 on Saturday when the price per tola had settled at Rs301,500. The international price of gold also rose on Monday, with the rate reaching $2,900 per ounce (with a premium of $20), reflecting an increase of $17 during the day.
Despite the rise in gold prices, the price of silver remained stable at Rs3,350 per tola. On Friday, the price of gold had reached an all-time high of Rs306,200 per tola in Pakistan.
These fluctuations in gold prices are linked to changes in global market trends and the strengthening of international gold rates.
