KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan declined in line with the decrease in international rates. In the local market, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs3,000, settling at Rs304,000 on Thursday.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold also fell by Rs2,571, bringing it down to Rs260,630. This drop followed a Rs700 increase in gold prices on Wednesday, when the per tola rate had reached Rs307,000.

On the international market, gold prices saw a decline, with the rate settling at $2,893 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $28 decrease in a single day. This downward trend affected the local market, leading to reduced gold prices across Pakistan.

Despite fluctuations in gold prices, the silver market remained stable. The price of silver stood unchanged at Rs3,369 per tola.

The volatility in gold rates continues to be influenced by international market trends, currency fluctuations, and economic conditions. Investors and buyers are closely monitoring the market for further changes.
