KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan fell on Friday, following a decline in the international market. The price of gold per tola dropped by Rs2,000, reaching Rs318,800. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold fell by Rs1,712, settling at Rs273,319, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

This drop in gold prices comes after a record high in the previous session, when the price per tola surged by Rs1,800, hitting an all-time peak of Rs320,800. On Friday, the international gold market saw a slight decrease as well. The price of gold internationally was recorded at $3,031 per ounce, with a premium of $20, marking a drop of $19 during the day.

In addition to gold, the price of silver also experienced a decline. The price of silver per tola decreased by Rs49, reaching Rs3,475 in Pakistan. The fluctuation in precious metal prices reflects ongoing volatility in global markets, impacting local rates for consumers and investors alike.
