The district administration has declared a public holiday on February 29 in observance of the three-day Annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, which will commence on the same date.

During the Urs festivities, which will span three days, various ceremonies will take place, including a literary conference, traditional Sindhi wrestling (Malakhro), and the performance of Sufi music.

Stringent security measures have been put in place by the local administration for the annual Urs event, ensuring the safety and security of all participants.

Facilitation camps have been established in Sehwan for devotees to provide necessary amenities to the shrine's guests.

Recently, Caretaker Sindh Minister for Law and Auqaf, Umer Soomro, visited the Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qlanadar shrine to assess the arrangements. Former Caretaker Sindh Minister, Iftekhar Ahmed Soomro, accompanied him. The Caretaker Law Minister paid respects at the shrine by laying a floral wreath, offering prayers for the country's and Sindh's development and prosperity.
