ISLAMABAD: The federal government has officially announced the revised working hours for public sector offices during the holy month of Ramadan.
These adjustments are designed to support employees in observing the religious practices of fasting and prayer, while ensuring that work operations continue smoothly.
Office Timings for 5-Day Work Week
For government offices that operate on a five-day work week, the new working hours will be as follows:
Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Office Timings for 6-Day Work Week
For offices with a six-day work week, the working hours will be:
Monday to Thursday & Saturday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM
The government’s decision to adjust office timings during Ramadan is in line with its efforts to maintain a balance between employees’ religious commitments and work responsibilities. The reduced hours will allow employees to carry out their spiritual obligations, such as fasting and praying, while still fulfilling their professional duties efficiently.
