The Head of Hamas' Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, where he stated that the recent Al-Aqsa Storm operation had resulted in a new strategic balance in the region.

Haniyeh commended Iran for its support of Palestine and its active Islamic diplomacy in aiding Gaza against Israeli attacks. He criticized the U.S. for its continued support of Israel, labeling it a primary reason for the ongoing actions of the Israeli regime.

Haniyeh also mentioned the severe shortage of medicine in Gaza and the depletion of fuel for hospital generators, warning of an impending humanitarian catastrophe. In a separate conversation with Amirabdollahian, the Leader of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Ziyad al-Nakhalah, expressed strong morale among the resistance forces despite Israeli attacks.

He reaffirmed the determination of the resistance to continue their fight against Israeli aggression. Amirabdollahian reiterated Iran's support for the Palestinian people and called for an immediate halt to Israeli crimes in Gaza, along with the consistent delivery of humanitarian aid via the Rafah border crossing.

It's worth noting that there has been a significant loss of life in Gaza, with thousands wounded in Israeli attacks since the Al-Aqsa Storm operation began on October 7. In the past 24 hours, hundreds of Palestinians have been killed in Israeli air strikes on Gaza.
