KARACHI: The persistently heavy fog continued to wreak havoc on Pakistan's aviation sector, causing widespread cancellations of flights across various destinations.
Among the affected routes were Saudi Airlines' Islamabad to Jeddah flight, several PIA flights from Islamabad to Quetta, and international flights to Gilgit, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. The adverse weather conditions also led to the cancellation of multiple flights from Lahore to Quetta, Karachi to Quetta, and other domestic routes.
PIA flights from Multan to Sharjah and Karachi to Jeddah were also impacted. The disruptions underscored the challenges posed by the dense fog, impacting travel plans and inconveniencing passengers.
