International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor Karim A.A. Khan has requested arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing “criminal responsibility” for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Palestinian territories.

In a statement, the ICC prosecutor declared, “We assert that the crimes against humanity alleged were part of a widespread and systematic attack on the Palestinian civilian population under state policy.”

The statement further indicated that evidence gathered by the prosecutor's office shows that "Israel has intentionally and systematically deprived the civilian population in all parts of Gaza of essential objects for human survival."

The prosecutor emphasized, “No foot soldier, no commander, no civilian leader—no one—can act with impunity.”
