All-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed has officially moved from Quetta Gladiators to Multan Sultans for the upcoming ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), while Rilee Rossouw will be making a return to Gladiators.

The exchange involved a trade between Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans, with Iftikhar Ahmed moving to Sultans and Rilee Rossouw joining Gladiators. Additionally, Sultans secured the first pick in the platinum category round one, while Gladiators obtained the first pick in the silver round one as part of the deal.

The local player category renewals for the forthcoming ninth edition of the tournament were finalized by November 10, with upgrades in categories assigned to nine players.

Foreign player registrations commenced on October 25, witnessing interest from numerous top players worldwide.

The process of retentions and trades is slated for completion before the PSL 9 Player Draft, following the conclusion of the National T20.

In recent developments, Karachi Kings traded Imad Wasim to Islamabad United in exchange for Hasan Ali, receiving Islamabad United's first-round silver pick in return for their second silver pick.

The exact schedule for the HBL PSL Player Draft 2024 will be announced at a later date.
