KARACHI: Caretaker Chief Minister Maqbool Baqar expressed hope for the prompt resolution of the Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline issue.
During a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghaddam, Baqar mentioned the opening of a border market between the two countries and anticipated the launch of two more markets in the near future.
Both the Sindh CM and Iran's envoy discussed the surge in bilateral trade between Pakistan and Iran, which has reached $2.4 billion annually and is expected to reach $5 billion.
Additionally, Ambassador Moghaddam highlighted a proposed road and rail project from Islamabad to Iran. Caretaker CM Baqar expressed optimism for a swift resolution to the Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline project.
