The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) declared Thursday that the events of May 9 constituted "a futile attempt to bring about a misguided and short-sighted revolution in the country." The military's media wing firmly stated that there would be no compromise with the planners, facilitators, and perpetrators of the violence on May 9, nor would they be allowed to evade the law.

In a statement, the ISPR labeled May 9 as "The Black Day" and conveyed strong condemnation from the armed forces, including top leadership, towards the criminal acts committed last year. The ISPR attributed the violence to politically motivated and indoctrinated troublemakers who deliberately attacked state institutions and damaged national heritage sites.

The statement also outlined the military's policy of restraint when faced with attacks on military installations, highlighting the thwarting of a conspiracy to destabilize Pakistan by inciting conflict between the people and the armed forces.

Furthermore, the ISPR addressed attempts to portray the culprits as innocent, describing a campaign of hate against the armed forces and the state. Emphasizing the importance of holding the perpetrators accountable, the ISPR stressed the necessity of ensuring that such actions do not occur in the future.

Additionally, the ISPR reiterated the armed forces' commitment to defending Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity against both external and internal threats. It pledged unwavering support for the dignity and respect of martyrs and their families, underscoring the unique bond between the armed forces and the people of Pakistan.

Calling upon the nation to unite against conspiracies aimed at weakening Pakistan, the ISPR urged collective efforts towards the prosperity and stability of the country.
