GAZA: Israel carried out the destruction of a northern Gaza neighborhood on Friday, preceded by a 30-minute warning for families to evacuate. During this operation, an Orthodox Christian church was also struck, where some people had taken shelter. These actions by Israel signal an imminent command to invade Gaza.

Following his visit to Israel to demonstrate support, U.S. President Joe Biden addressed the American public, requesting increased financial aid to assist Israel in its fight against Hamas. He characterized Hamas as seeking the "annihilation" of Israel's democratic state.

Israel remains committed to eliminating the Hamas Islamist group that governs Gaza. This determination stems from an incident on October 7 when Hamas militants breached the barrier fence surrounding Gaza, leading to deadly attacks in Israeli towns and kibbutzes, resulting in the deaths of 1,400 people, predominantly civilians.

Defence Minister Yoav Gallant conveyed to troops at the Gaza border that they would soon be inside Gaza, emphasizing that the command for an invasion was forthcoming.

The Israeli response to the situation has involved extensive airstrikes on Gaza and imposing a total blockade, which has prevented the delivery of essential supplies, including food, fuel, and medical resources. Palestinian officials report that since October 7, 3,785 Palestinians have lost their lives, with over 1,500 of them being children. According to the UN, more than one million people have been displaced from their homes.
