The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor strongly condemned the Israeli army's deliberate killing of Palestinian civilians by running them over with military vehicles and the widespread destruction of civilian property. These actions were described as part of Israel's ongoing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
According to Euro-Med Monitor, on February 29, the Israeli army deliberately ran over a Palestinian man in Gaza City's Al-Zaytoun neighborhood after arresting him. The man underwent harsh interrogation before being bound with plastic zip-tie handcuffs and then run over by a military vehicle from the bottom to the top of his body.
Witnesses, interviewed by the Euro-Med Monitor team, confirmed that the incident took place on the main Salah al-Din Street in the Zaytoun neighborhood. They stated that Israeli soldiers restrained the victim's hands before crushing him and running over his body from the legs up, indicating that he was still alive during the incident. The victim was deliberately placed on asphalt rather than on nearby sandy terrain to ensure thorough and complete crushing.
