KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman on Sunday announced the suspension of the party’s routine activities to focus on a series of nationwide protests in support of Palestinians in Gaza.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Hafiz Naeem said, “Jamaat-e-Islami is suspending all normal activities from today.”
He outlined a protest calendar, beginning with countrywide demonstrations on Friday, April 11. “On April 13, we will hold a Palestine March in Karachi, and on April 20, we will march towards the US embassy in Islamabad,” he added.
