The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has declared a sit-in outside the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) to protest against the recently disclosed subpar results of students, following similarly disappointing outcomes in matric exams.
The JI Karachi Chief, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, accused BIEK of jeopardizing the educational future of the city's children, alleging systematic undermining of their education leading to widespread failures. Rehman pointed to malpractices during examinations, such as cheating, paper leaks, and external interference, casting doubt on the credibility of institutions like Metropolitan University, Karachi University, and NED University. He denounced these actions as "educational terrorism" and questioned the ruling class's intentions for Karachi's youth, suggesting a protest outside the Intermediate Board office tomorrow at 11 AM.
