KARACHI: In a significant development in the Mustafa Amir murder case, the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) arrested Kamran Qureshi, the father of the prime suspect, Armaghan Qureshi, on Thursday.

Police sources confirmed the arrest, which is seen as a major breakthrough in the high-profile investigation.

According to SSP Anil Haider, the arrest took place after AVCC officers conducted a raid at Kamran Qureshi’s residence in Defence Khayaban-e-Momin. During the operation, law enforcement officials seized a significant quantity of illegal weapons and narcotics from the property, which has now led to a case being registered against Kamran Qureshi under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act.
