KARACHI: In Surjani Town, Karachi, two individuals posing as police officers were apprehended by the Karachi police for their involvement in robbing residents in the city.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mehroz Ali revealed that these detainees were part of a larger gang, comprising six members, responsible for robbing individuals under the guise of law enforcement officials during late-night hours.
Arbaz and Junaid, the arrested culprits, admitted to their involvement in several house robberies across Karachi. Their modus operandi involved breaking into homes around 4 am, restraining the occupants, and looting valuables before departing.
Upon their arrest, the police recovered various items, including a firearm, mobile phones, jewelry, a stolen LCD, DVR, cash, and other valuable possessions.
The SSP highlighted that the arrested individuals are facing charges in nine cases registered at the Surjani Town police station.
