KARACHI: Security preparations have been intensified in Karachi ahead of the imminent arrival of Iranian President Dr. Ibrahim Raisi and his delegation.

To ensure safety, roads have been cordoned off using containers, stretching from Shahrah-e-Quaideen Khudadad Colony to Numaish Road. Additionally, MA Jinnah Road leading towards Saddar and the route from People’s Secretariat to Saddar have been blocked off with container barricades. The Karachi police have outlined a traffic plan, which entails the complete closure of Club Road from PIDC to Metropole, as well as sections of Doctor Ziauddin Road and Signal Chowk to PIDC.

Alternate routes have been designated, including diverting Sultanabad traffic from Doctor Ziauddin Road Khajoor Chowk to Aiwan-e-Sadar Road. Furthermore, a temporary closure of both tracks of Shara-e-Faisal has been scheduled from 3 pm to 5 pm, as announced by Deputy Inspector General of Police Ahmed Nawaz, citing security precautions.
