Karachi to experience persistent hot weather for next two days

KARACHI: Karachi will experience ongoing hot weather for the next two days, with temperatures expected to reach up to 38°C, according to the weather department. However, seabreeze is likely to continue with a gentle wind speed, providing some relief.

The intense heat is predicted to subside after March 12 as wind speed increases, leading to slightly milder weather conditions. Despite the shift in wind patterns, there is no forecast for rainfall during this period.

Earlier, the Met Office had warned of rising temperatures in Karachi, with mercury expected to touch 38°C. While weather conditions are expected to remain favorable in the first ten days of Ramadan, officials have cautioned about a potential heatwave towards the end of the holy month.

During the final ten days of Ramadan, temperatures in Karachi could soar up to 40°C. The rest of Sindh province is also expected to face hot weather throughout the fasting month. In the southern regions, temperatures may rise to 40°C or higher during the last phase of Ramadan.

The Met Office advises residents to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during peak hours, and take precautions against extreme heat, particularly in the latter half of the month.
