Karachi: The Mayor of Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, met with the Consul General of Germany, Dr. Rudiger Lotz, at the KMC head office to engage in discussions of mutual interest.
Mayor Wahab highlighted the vast potential for collaboration between Pakistan and Germany across various sectors. He commended Germany's achievements in urban development, science, and technology. He also emphasized the significant improvements in Karachi's basic urban infrastructure, a result of combined efforts by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, District Municipalities, and other entities to enhance the quality of life for its residents.
Moreover, Mayor Wahab stressed the presence of attractive investment opportunities for German firms in Karachi and assured complete support and facilities for German investors and companies interested in Karachi.
Consul General Lotz shared his perspective, underlining the importance of establishing stronger and more stable bilateral relations between Pakistan and Germany. He recognized Karachi as a key coastal city in South Asia, home to two major ports and a significant international airport, thus making it a vital hub for industrial and commercial activities.
