Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor finds herself entangled in a legal dispute following a petition calling for the prohibition of her pregnancy book due to its use of the term 'Bible' in the title.
The book, named 'Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible,' initially published in 2021, has come under legal scrutiny three years after its release for featuring the word 'Bible.' An Indian media source revealed that advocate Christopher Anthony filed a case against the book's publication and Kareena Kapoor herself.
Anthony, the petitioner, demanded the book's sales ban and urged action against the actress. Subsequently, the Madhya Pradesh High Court issued notices to Kareena Kapoor and the book's seller.
In his petition, Anthony argued that incorporating the term 'Bible' in the book's title is disrespectful to the Christian community. He contended that equating Kapoor's book with the Bible is inappropriate and accused the actress of using the controversy for her book's publicity.
Kareena Kapoor's recent appearance was in the film 'Crew,' alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon. She is reportedly working on her upcoming project, 'The Buckingham Murders Palace,' and is said to be filming for 'Veere Di Wedding 2.'
