Mayor Murtaza Wahab announced that efforts were in progress to create the Karachi Metropolitan Museum within the revered Denso Hall building.

Highlighting the previous year's revenue of 1.2 billion under Waseem Akhtar's mayoral tenure, he noted a significant increase, with one billion rupees earned in the last five months until November 30, attributed to various reforms.

Emphasizing the municipality's commitment to public welfare, the mayor pledged that every KMC resource would serve the people. He expressed concern that the city's historic buildings had been neglected due to biased politics but assured focused efforts toward preserving this heritage.

While acknowledging the presence of museums in Pakistan, Wahab underscored the absence of any under local government, stating that collaborative work with technical experts was underway to establish the Karachi Metropolitan Museum within the Denso Hall building. He projected its opening to the public on March 23, 2024.

Expressing dismay over disrespectful actions such as spitting on images and political banners defacing landmarks like the Johar flyover and underpass, Mayor Wahab urged citizens to uphold the city's dignity and take pride in being conscientious residents of Karachi.
