The Khyber Medical University (KMU) declared the results of the re-conducted test held on Sunday for admissions into medical colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Six candidates emerged as top scorers in the MDCAT 2023, securing 192 marks each, while the overall success rate for the test stood at 75 percent.

KMU reported that 11 candidates obtained scores exceeding 190 marks. Additionally, 402 candidates secured marks ranging from 180 to 189, while 2,982 candidates scored between 170 to 179 marks.

Out of a total of 46,000 candidates, 34,000 participated in the test, while 11,300 candidates were absent.

It's worth noting that the previous MDCAT test was canceled due to a Bluetooth scandal, leading to the transfer of test responsibilities from ETA to Khyber Medical University. The caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa implemented stringent measures during Sunday’s MDCAT retest.
