Legal challenge arises over Maryam Nawaz's nomination papers

In Sargodha's PP-80, a citizen raised objections against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's Chief Organiser, Maryam Nawaz's nomination papers.

The citizen took the objection to the returning officer's office, claiming that Maryam Nawaz's signatures on the papers are allegedly forged and highlighted her convictions in multiple cases.

Requesting the RO to dismiss Nawaz's nomination papers for PP-80 Sargodha, the challenger emphasized these concerns.

Maryam Nawaz, a PML-N leader, submitted nomination papers for six seats in the upcoming general elections, including NA-119 and NA-120 in Lahore, along with PP-80, PP-159, PP-160, and PP-165.

This submission of nomination papers by candidates is part of the initial phase of the election schedule, open until December 24.

Currently, the scrutiny process is underway for the candidates' nomination papers.
