The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday directed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to release PTI President Parvez Elahi.
Justice Amjad Rafiq was hearing a petition of Elahi against his arrest in an alleged corruption case by the NAB. Announcing the verdict, the judge barred authorities from arresting the former chief minister of Punjab in any other case.
Elahi was first arrested on June 1 in connection with a corruption case. He was discharged in said case the very next day, only to be arrested in another.
