PPP leader Manzoor Wasan, known for his knack for political predictions, asserted that Nawaz Sharif wouldn't reclaim the prime ministerial position in 2024.
Speaking to the media after filing his nomination papers for Sindh Assembly’s PS-27 constituency, Wasan stated firmly that regardless of the support Nawaz Sharif receives, they would prevent his return as PM. He confidently claimed that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would be the next prime minister, dismissing the optimism of those certain of winning the upcoming general election.
Without explicitly naming the founder of PTI, Wasan emphasized the importance of allowing everyone to participate in the electoral process.
Notably, the submission of nomination papers by political leaders is ongoing, and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has extended the deadline by two days, setting the new submission deadline as December 24. The preliminary list of candidates is scheduled to be published on December 24, followed by the scrutiny of candidates by returning officers from December 25 to December 30. The polling itself is set for February 08, 2024.
